Rating : - Beware of the extra-musical sound effects
This production of Stravinsky's wonderful and underrated opera is a musical treasure, and the CGI-enhanced staging is impressive and imaginative. However, the extra-musical sound effects, which are generally annoying become unbearable at 22:00, where the disembodied hands begin to applaud intrusively, to the point where the clapping obscures the beautiful music. This goes on for almost nine minutes. Fortunately there is a cure: go to the Audio button before you watch, and choose the Dolby 5.1 soundtrack *without* "effects", and you will get pure music.
